Cut To The Chase…the making of!

Today we had a second rehearsal for the silent movie we are making for the Matlock Bath Pavilion, to be showcased at the Derbyshire Open Arts event over the June bank holidays.

This film will explore the theatre as it is now and it will transform as the piece progresses. For this I am working with Chris Caffrey  who is Déda’s dance artist.

Today we explored the ‘prop’ box that will be the stimuli throughout the film. Consequently a bow-tie dance and a russian dance emerged! As silly as it may seem at the moment I think this piece will come into its own as we progress (if we can get past the giggling!)

Tonight I am rehearsing with the GuyAthlon lads, so will update later.

All for now,

Alice 🙂
